Mission Statement: 
The mission of the Scholarship Ministry is to enhance the educational opportunities of our high school graduates through financial assistance for all who are entering college.  To promote awareness to all students and parents through newsletters and seminars.
 
Objectives:
To award a max scholarship of $1,000 for each St. Mary high school graduate who have been accepted into a university, community college or trade school.
 
To issue school supplies to students of all ages once a year.
 
To spearhead a Scholarship Awards Banquet to recognize all scholarship recipients.
 
Host our Annual Salute to the Graduate Celebration
 
To seek other non-profit organizations who offer scholarships, and assist our high school students in obtaining as many scholarships as possible.  For example:  Westside Missionary Baptist Association President’s Scholarship Award, Lincoln Alumni Scholarship, Dollars for Scholars, etc.
 
To encourage our scholarship recipients to give back to the community by volunteering at a non-profit site.  For example:  Ozanam Inn, Second Harvest Food Bank, etc.
